Geekpure Whole House Water Filtration System with 10-Inch Big Clear Housing
The water filtration system features a 10-inch big clear housing with a 1" NPT inlet/outlet. It comes with 1 PP sediment filter, 1 plastic wrench, 1 bag of screws, and 1 metal bracket. The system is designed for single-stage whole-house water filtration.
The maximum operating pressure of the housing is 80 psi, but the suggested working pressure is under 50 psi. The operating temperature range is 40-110°F (5-45°C), and the shelf life of the system is 5 years.
The PP sediment filter is used to reduce silt, sand, rust, and dirt from the water. The clear housing allows you to visually inspect when the filter needs to be replaced, which is typically every 6-12 months or after 100,000 gallons of water usage, depending on the feed water quality and pressure.
In addition to the PP sediment filter, there are three other filter options available: 1. Granular activated carbon filter: Reduces chlorine, taste, and odors. Lifespan: 6 months. It is important to note that the lifespan of the filter cartridges depends on the usage amount and feed water quality.
To ensure proper operation and prevent leaks, it is recommended to: 1. Lubricate the o-ring with silicone grease and use the provided wrench. 2. Protect the filter housing from freezing. 3. If the water pressure is expected to exceed 60 psi, a pressure regulator must be installed before the filter housing. It is recommended to set the pressure regulator to 50 psi or less. 4. Ensure the rubber o-ring is properly seated in the groove to provide a water-tight seal between the cap and the sump.
The system is installed at the main water supply, providing pure water for the entire home. It is a large-capacity housing suitable for high-flow applications, with a flow rate of 5-15 GPM (depending on the feed water pressure).
It is important to note that the clear housing material is not as strong as the blue color housing, so the suggested working pressure is under 50 psi.
