The complete set includes a 10-inch big clear housing, a plastic wrench, screws, and a metal bracket. The housing is sold separately from the filter cartridges. This package contains 1 set.
The clear housing allows you to see when it's time to change the filters and ensures everything is functioning properly. It is equipped with a pressure release button for high-pressure applications.
The housing has a 3/4" NPT inlet and outlet. To use it, please refer to the provided photo.
The maximum operating pressure is 80 psi, but the suggested working pressure is under 50 psi. The temperature range is 40-110°F/5-45°C, and the shelf life is 5 years.
It's important to lubricate the o-ring with silicone grease and use the provided wrench to prevent leakage. You may find helpful installation videos by searching for "whole house water filter" on YouTube.
Protect the filter housing from freezing. If your water pressure is ever suspected to exceed 60 psi, a pressure regulator must be installed before the filter housing to prevent exceeding the maximum pressure rating. It's recommended to set the pressure regulator at 50 psi or less.
The rubber o-ring provides a water-tight seal between the cap and the sump. Ensure the o-ring is properly seated in the groove to avoid water leaks.
Regarding the product dimensions, this is a standard-sized housing for 4.5"OD x 10" height filters.
The box contents include: 1 x 10-inch big clear housing with a pressure release, 1 x plastic wrench, 1 x metal bracket, and 1 bag of screws.
As for filter options, the following are available: 1) PP spun filter: Removes sand, dirt, and sediment. Estimated lifespan: 6 months. 2) Carbon block filter: Further removes chlorine, taste, odors, and very fine particulates. Estimated lifespan: 6 months.
Note that the filter cartridge lifespan depends on usage amount and feed water quality. Additional filter options and housing sizes are available, as listed in the corresponding Amazon product ASINs.
This product is ISO9001:2015 certified. Please note that the clear housing material is not as sturdy as the blue color housing, and the suggested working pressure is under 50 psi.
