Replacing the UV lamp is a quick and easy process that requires no special skills or tools. To replace the lamp, follow these simple steps:
- Disconnect the UV system from power and allow it to cool down for a few minutes.
- Turn off the water supply and drain the water from the system before removing the lamp.
- Wear gloves to prevent contamination of the lamp surface.
- Carefully pull the lamp cord away from the chamber and disconnect the lamp.
- Remove the lamp from the chamber, taking care not to angle it and damage the quartz sleeve.
- Slide the new UV lamp into the quartz sleeve and attach the ballast.
- Slide the assembly back into the stainless steel reactor chamber and secure the end cover.
The lamp can be mounted vertically or horizontally, with the water flow direction from bottom to top for vertical installations. For initial setups, it is recommended to install the quartz sleeve in a horizontal position for better sealing.
