Universal Standard Size: The HIDROTEK RO membrane has standard dimensions (11.75" overall length, 1.75" diameter) and fits all standard 2" ID membrane housings, making it compatible with most residential Reverse Osmosis Systems and water filtration systems.
Wastewater Ratio: The wastewater ratio is 1:2, meaning 2 gallons of wastewater are produced for every 1 gallon of pure water.

Note: 1. Do not freeze. 2. Flush the new membrane for 30 minutes to remove the protective material, ensuring the TDS of the pure water reaches the right level. 3. If you have chlorinated water, use a Carbon/Sediment Pre-Filter to remove the residual chlorine, which can damage the membrane. If the water hardness is too high, install a water softener before the RO unit.
Questions and Answers: Q: What are the dimensions of the RO membrane? A: The standard size is 11.75" overall length and 1.75" diameter, fitting all standard 2" ID membrane housings.
Q: What is the lifetime of the membrane? A: For most tap water (200-500 ppm TDS), the suggested lifetime is 24 months. The replacement frequency depends on usage and feed water quality. If the tap water has very good quality (200 ppm TDS or less), the membrane may last up to 36 months. In hard water areas, some users replace the membrane every 6 or 12 months.
Q: Can I use it if my water has a TDS over 1000 ppm or very hard well water? A: Yes, you can use it even if the TDS reaches 2000 ppm, but the membrane should be replaced every 12 months or more frequently. Our recommendation is to keep the TDS below 1000 ppm.
Q: Can this be used for brackish water (5000 ppm) or ocean water with high salinity (35000 ppm)? A: No, this product is designed for residential tap water use only.
