Important Notes: 1. Please lubricate the o-ring with silicone grease and use the provided wrench to prevent leakage. For first-time installation, you may find helpful installation videos on YouTube by searching for "whole house water filter". 2. Protect the filter housing from freezing. 3. This filter housing has a maximum operating pressure rating of 90 psi. If your water pressure is expected to exceed 80 psi at any time, a pressure regulator MUST BE INSTALLED before the filter housing to prevent the water pressure from exceeding the maximum rating. It is recommended to set the pressure regulator to 60 psi or less. 4. The rubber o-ring provides a water-tight seal between the cap and the sump. It is important that the o-ring be properly seated in the groove to avoid water leaks.
Material: The filter is made of 100% Melt-Blown Polypropylene, which is FDA-approved for food-grade applications.
